Treatment Of Jaundice

Jaundice is a symptom of hepatitis, jaundice causes your skin and your eyes appear yellow. The yellow color of the skin and eyes are caused by an excess amount of bilirubin. Bilirubin is a yellow chemical in hemoglobin which builds up in the body when the liver cannot handle the blood cells as they break down, body and your skin may look yellow.

Jaundice is characterized by yellowing of the skin and the sclera or whites of the eyes. It is not a disease but only a sign to many other different diseases. Jaundice is caused by the high level of chemical bilirubin in the blood. Depending on the level of the chemical, the yellow pigmentation of the skin and the sclera may vary. When it is too high, it could appear as brown and not yellow.

Home Remedies for Jaundice

1. Juices of bitter vegetables like the bitter gourd are very effective in treating jaundice. Mash the vegetable and extract their juices by pressing with a cloth. This juice must be ideally had in the early morning. One glassful of juice per day is recommended.

2. Prepare a cupful of juice of beetroot and lemon in equal proportions. Having this juice for a few days will definitely cure jaundice.

3. Extract juice of amalaki (Indian gooseberry, Emblica officinalis). Have this juice thrice in a day in a teaspoonful quantity. This is a potent remedy for all kinds of liver ailments.

Normal physiological jaundice in your newborn does not require any special treatment. Adequate fluid intake is essential. Breast feed your baby at least 8-12 times a day.

A mini sunbath might be recommended. You may be asked to put your baby's crib near the window that gets the maximum sunlight. Make sure you protect baby's eyes and limit exposure to direct sunlight. Follow the instructions from your caregiver.

TREATMENT OF JAUNDICE

Phototherapy is a safe and effective way of treating mild jaundice.

This treatment is administered as a special micro-blue wavelength light condensed

manufactured specifically for this purpose. It is emitted from a fluorescent light tube.

Bathing the baby in kunyit water is definitely not recommended because the skin becomes more yellow in colour, therefore making it difficult to assess the true jaundice level from looking at the skin. Do not give baby any herbal medicine as it may interfere with the bilirubin conversion thereby increasing the levels of fat soluble bilirubin and by the time the baby is taken to hospital, it may be too late.

Causes of Jaundice

The high level of bilirubin is the main cause of jaundice. However, it is better that we are able to understand how this chemical component of the blood is being released. The red blood cells are the ones responsible with the bilirubin. When these cells get old, they are naturally destroyed.

Symptoms of Jaundice

1- Extreme weakness
2- Fever and headache
3- Nausea
4- Yellow discoloration of tongue skin urine and eyes

Jaundice is an outcome of uprise, in the bloodline, of bilirubin, a yellow coloured pigment that comes out by the breakdown of aged RBCs. It is normal for the RBCs to collapse, while the bilirubin formed does not generally lawsuit jaundice Since the liver will metabolise them and thereby eliminate it inside the gut.

The range of contaminants that cause hepatitis A is unlimited. Most people get the disease by eating in unsanitary places. Food handlers who don't wash their hands properly play a major role in transmitting the disease by touching unwrapped foods that are consumed raw or without further cooking.

Prevention rests on maintaining a good personal hygiene. Always wash your hands after using the bathroom, changing a diaper, or before preparing or eating food. Avoid outside food and water especially food that is undercooked/ uncooked (like salad etc.). Since proper food and water in India is still a pipe-dream, a more feasible way is to take the Hepatitis A vaccine.

Autism Spectrum Symptoms

Autism spectrum disorder is basically a wide range of behavioral and developmental disorders that results from a combination of certain traits. The autism spectrum disorder will range from low functioning autism to high functioning autism to normal behavior and to possibly hyper socialization.

Autism Spectrum disorders (ASD) is also known as autism spectrum conditions (ASC) or the autism spectrum. The autism spectrum is a variety of psychological abnormalities in social interactions and communication. It may also be displayed as severely restricted interests and exceedingly repetitive behavior. Autism is one of the five autism spectrum disorders.

It is based on the presence of these symptoms that children are placed on the autism spectrum, which decides their further course of treatment. However, children who display one or more symptoms on this spectrum might become quite keen in other areas, which might actually make them prodigies. For instance, a child who cannot understand language might develop a keen understanding of music and become a child genius.

The primary symptoms of the autism spectrum disorders are social difficulties, communication troubles, unusual behaviors like repetitiveness and restricted interests, associated symptoms like sensory sensitivity and occasional bowel problem (about the only physical symptom that accompanies these disorders), and mental retardation or savant skills which causes them to appear like they are really good at something that nobody else is.

Treatment

Finding a permanent cure for autism can be more difficult than it seems, however if you do some research you'll find loads of treatments offered for autism. But if you are looking for scientifically proven treatments, there are two kinds of therapies which are believed to be effective. The first is the ' Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)'. This approach does not involve use of medication and is based on planning to achieve measurable goals.

The term autism describes a neurodevelopmental disorder with a variety of symptoms and characteristics whose focus is on abnormal social relationships and interplay, difficulties with communications of both the verbal and non-verbal kind, a lack of focus in normal play and repetitive pattern behaviors.

The sight of this teenager emerging from of his shell, responding socially to this new and different environment when he was all but unreachable in the classroom, made me wonder. Perhaps there was a key to unlocking the barriers to interaction inside of the other kids. I wondered if perhaps there was a solution to the mystery that kept their social abilities sequestered inside of these young people. Perhaps theatre activities might be the answer for many kids with autism.

symptoms:
* Delay in speech with identifiable speech patterns. Often when these children try to copy someone they do it with precise intonation, often repeating word to word what has been said.
* The tone of speech may be high pitched or flat.
* These children often lack the ability to understand changes in tone or body language to express irony, sarcasm or humor.
* Lack of eye contact

The kids who appeared to be completely unmindful of what was going on I soon discovered, were anything but oblivious. The almost completely silent teenagers soon proved to me that they were not only aware, but that they were all the time processing what was happening around them. I found that with enough support, they could participate and communicate appropriately.

Having worked as a psychologist on a multi-disciplinary team diagnosing autism spectrum disorders, I have observed the interaction of many children who present with symptoms of developmental delays and difference so a few alarm bells were triggered for me.

When it comes to communication skills, more often than not, individuals with ASDs will show lack of development in these areas, as well. Many children that have been diagnosed with ASDs do not talk at all. Some may display a repetitive speech, such as echolalia, where they repeat the words that are said to them. Instead of answering a question, they'll simply repeat what was asked of them. A child with ASDs may be able to talk and then at a later date, stop talking altogether.

A distinction is made in assessing the needs of people with autism between those who have an IQ of less than 70, who are described as low functioning and classified as having a learning disability, and those who have an IQ above 70 who are often described as high functioning.

Applied Behavior Analysis therapy works by encouraging behavior patterns and repetitive actions in order to teach basic tasks. These exercises also help teach the mind how to learn by developing new neural connections that allow children to literally learn how to learn. These new pathways help children learn to connect the various parts of a task or concept together so that they can understand how and why things work. This is an essential part of learning, but many teachers fail to understand that autistic children do not innately have this ability.

ABA Therapy has existed for decades, and has consistently been the most successful and most recommended treatment for autism. It is the only treatment utilized by a majority of school districts as well as the only treatment covered by many insurance programs. There are many years worth of studies to back up the results of ABA Therapy, with results showing improvement for children on all degrees of the autism spectrum.

Prostate Cancer Symptoms

Prostate cancer is abnormal cells grow out of control forming small nodules or bumps (overgrowth tissue) on the surface of in the prostate gland. In some cases, the overgrowth tissue is benign and this prostate condition is called Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy (BPH). Other times, abnormal cancerous cells characterize the overgrowth of tissue, and this is referred to as a malignancy or prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer can be seen only in males, as this disease is related with male reproductive system. This type of cancer usually occurs when a man crosses fifty years or more. In this disease, the cancer cells spread from prostate to other parts of the body, which may result in pain during urinating, ejaculating and other related dysfunctions. The cancer cells multiply and spread in bone areas and lymph nodes.

The prostate is a gland found only in men, which lies just below the bladder. The tube through which urine flows from the bladder when you pass water goes first through the prostate gland then out through the penis. The prostate gland can become enlarged in many men as they get older which then causes difficulty with urination.

We know that starting at age 40, the levels of the by-product prolactin of testosterone of men increases, stimulating the production of the enzyme 5-alpha reductase that causes the conversion of testosterone to gihydro-testosterones DHT triggering prostate enlargement and Prostate cancer. Therefore in order to prevent the symptoms of enlarged prostate and prostate cancer are to naturally impend the conversion of testosterone to DHT.

Causes of prostate cancer

There is no single cause of prostate cancer. The cancer originates in the epithelial cells of the glandular elements of the prostate. As with most cancers defects in the DNA of the cell are central to the development of prostate cancer. Multiple DNA defects are required for cancer to develop. This multi-step process takes place over time. Some defects can be inherited, while others are acquired during the patient's lifetime.

Prostate Cancer Symptoms:
1) Frequent urination.

2) An interrupted or weak urine flow.

3) Trouble while urination.

4) Sensation of pain while ejaculation.

5) Inability to urinate.

Treatment of prostate cancer

The treatment approach for prostate cancer will depend on whether it is in its early stages or whether it has got more advanced. Note that if the prostate cancer is detected in too advanced stage, it might spread to bones even and become more or less uncontrollable. The best way to keep prostate cancer at bay is to take proactive approach by consulting doctor (and even going for blood test) regularly and hence catch prostate cancer in its early stages.

Without a clear understanding of the causes, it is hard to know how to prevent prostate cancer. However, since you have no influence over genetics, it is best to start with the factors you can control. Diet and nutrition are the first factors to consider when looking at natural cures for prostate cancer.

Symptoms of Ulcers

An ulcer is a small sore or break in the lining of the stomach or just beyond the stomach in the first part of the intestine, called the duodenum. Once the break occurs it is gradually eroded and deepened by the corrosive effect of acidic gastric juices to form an ulcer. An ulcerous condition may develop quickly or over a long period of time. An estimated 5-10 percent of people suffer from an ulcer at some point in their lives. Ulcers affect people of all ages and are equally common in men and women.

Neuropathic ulcer, well that's a fancy name for leg ulcer... it is an infected area on your leg or foot and results from damage which you could not feel. So really, this is the time when it would be great for you to realize if you have diabetic neuropathy, you should do everything you can to control your blood sugar levels.

The best remedy for healing ulcers, especially gastric (stomach) ulcers is a diet rich in natural green foods - eating plenty of green cruciferous vegetables and drinking vegetable juice daily or as often as possible. Green foods are very healing! Parsley, kale, spinach, broccoli, cilantro, Roamine and green lettuce, watercress, asparagus, etc. are some of the best green foods available. And remember, green foods are naturally antacid without any adverse or negative side effects such as Tums or Rolaids and other OTC (over the counter) drugs.

Symptoms of Ulcers:

o Diarrhea

o Low grade colic

o Poor appetite, including the horse refusing foods or supplements that were readily consumed before

o Slow eating, sometimes walking away without finishing meals all at once

o Belching noises

o Decreased performance

Mouth ulcers are open sores that appear on the inside of the lips, cheeks, or other parts of the mouth. They may result from trauma caused by excessively vigorous tooth brushing, chewing on foods with hard edges (nuts, pretzels, etc.), eating hot foods, wearing ill fitting dentures, or lip biting. They can also be triggered by allergies to certain foods and food preservatives.

Treatment of Mouth Ulcers

1. Banyan (Ficus religiosa)
2. Chebulic Myrobalan (Terminalia chebula)
3. Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum graecum)
4. Henna (Lawsonium alba)
5. Indian Gooseberry (Emblica officinalis)
6. Kattha (Acacia catechu)

Home Remedies for Mouth Ulcers

1. Grind the leaves of the Indian plum (jambula). Exude their paste in water and gargle with this water. It will give immediate relief from the pains of the mouth ulcers.

2. Gargling with the water of the adulsa (Justicia adhadota) also brings about an immediate relief from the mouth ulcer pains.

3. Mix the peel of a lemon with white catechu. Grind them into a very fine paste. Apply this directly on the ulcer. The ulcer will get treated almost immediately.

4. Take two to three leaves of the guava tree and some catechu. Chomp them together. This will cure even the most persistent of ulcers within a few days.

A gastric ulcer or a duodenal ulcer is an open sore in the lining of your stomach or of the duodenum, where acids are found. When you have an ulcer in your stomach, the proper medical term is gastric ulcer. If it is found in the duodenum, it is called a duodenal ulcer.

The most common ulcer symptoms are sourness, pain and burns at the abdominal level. Many people tend to disregard these first ulcer symptoms, considering that their internal discomfort may be due to stress and fatigue. Only when they observe that their abdominal discomfort and pain reappears periodically, people realize that something is wrong.

If a person suffers from a recurrence of ulceration, the time has come to decide between starting on a permanent course of drugs (which can be expensive) or undergoing surgery (which nowadays, unless one suffers from other diseases, is quick and safe). Duodenal ulcers are said to be more common in the hardworking, intense type of person, so if you are one of these, and have lately been experiencing pain in the upper part of the tummy, now is the time to have your doctor check it out.

Meningitis Symptoms

Meningitis can be very serious; as a matter of fact certain types of bacterial meningitis can be rapidly fatal without early treatment. It is one of the conditions considered to be a medical emergency that is related to infectious diseases.

Meningitis is an infection of the fluid of a persons spinal cord and the fluid that surrounds the brain. Meningitis is usually caused by a viral or bacterial infection. Bacterial infection is by far the most serious. Bacterial can be treated with antibiotics and has a preventive vaccine whereas viral has neither.

Meningitis is an inflammation of the tissue surrounding the brain. While some types of meningitis cause just mild, flu like symptoms, others are serious enough to cause death within several hours. Some children, although not becoming ill, may carry the virus causing meningitis; contagious to others through respiratory secretions. The most common types of the disease are viral and bacterial, with different strains of each resulting from multiple causes. Since each type can begin with the same symptoms, it is important to seek medical help as soon as possible for an accurate diagnosis.

Treatment for Meningitis Tips

1. Acute bacterial meningitis requires prompt treatment with intravenous antibiotics to ensure recovery and reduce the risk of complications.

2. Pneumovax (also known as Prevenar) against Streptococcus pneumoniae is recommended for all people 65 years of age or older.

3. Drugs such as dexamethasone are sometimes given to reduce inflammation or to reduce the chance, or spread, of septicemia.

4. Antifungals to combat the infection are usually administered, as well as fluids and medicine to control pain and fever.

If meningitis is suspected, a doctor will arrange a CT scan of the brain or, if the patient is stable undertake a lumbar puncture test. A lumbar puncture test involves taking a sample of fluid from the spine called cerebral spinal fluid (CSF). The CSF fluid is examined by a microbiologist or Consultant in infectious disease to see if it reveals the bacteria or virus cells associated with meningitis. The patient will then be started on intravenous antibiotics which will kill the bacteria cells.

Meningitis is an inflammation of the leptomeninges and underlying subarachnoid cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Meningitis is the inflammation of the protective membranes covering the central nervous system, known collectively as the meninges. Meningitis is a disease involving inflammation, or irritation, of the meninges. Most cases of meningitis are caused by microorganisms, such as viruses, bacteria, fungi, or parasites, that spread into the blood and into the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).

symptoms:

o High fever
o Severe headache
o Stiff neck
o Dislike of bright light
o Drowsiness
o Confusion and irritability

Causes:
The bacteria and virus that cause general illness can also caused meningitis. Sometimes the bacteria and viruses that infect the skin, urinary system, gastrointestinal or respiratory tract can spread by the bloodstream to the meningitis through cerebrospinal fluid, the fluid that circulates in and around the spinal cord.

The single best prevention method is proper hand hygiene. Wash your hands often. Use alcohol-based gels only when your hands are not visibly soiled. Another prevention method is proper cleaning of surfaces. At home you can use a strong bleach solution (1 cup bleach to 1 gallon water) to wipe down hard surfaces (door knobs, counter tops, sink controls). The last method is vaccination.

Classic symptoms are fever, headache, stiff neck, confusion and lethargy. Patients can also be intolerant to light and loud noises. A generalized rash with small raised red and purple nodules could signify the presence of meningococcal meningitis, the most deadly form of the disease. Physicians have been trained in medical school to recognize this characteristic rash and to consider it a warning that the patient's life is in danger.

Many of the bacteria and viruses that cause meningitis are fairly common and are typically associated with other routine illnesses. Bacteria and viruses that infect the skin, urinary system, gastrointestinal or respiratory tract can spread by the bloodstream to the meninges through cerebrospinal fluid, the fluid that circulates in and around the spinal cord.

Hypertension Symptoms

Hypertension is derived from two root words; Hyper meaning High and Tension meaning Pressure. Hypertension simply means high blood pressure. Pressure is the force generated when the heart contracts and pump blood through the blood vessels that conduct the blood to various parts of the blood.

High blood pressure (hypertension) is called the silent killer because it does not give symptoms or warning before it strikes. Hypertension is not just one disease or diagnosis, look at hypertension as a sign of poor picture of overall health. Remember that blood pressure is one of the vital signs we measure as a gauge to your your overall health (other vital signs are pulse, temperature and respiration). A sign like elevated blood pressure is not the disease; it points to the disease of inflammation going on in the body.

There are a number of problems with blood pressure (BP) reducing medications however. They do not cure the cause of high blood pressure but merely lower it while the drugs remain in your system. This means that people usually have to take medications daily for the rest of their lives in order to keep their blood pressure at an acceptable level.

natural hypertension remedies :

- Exercising

- Proper dieting

- Stress management

The other problem with hypertension medications (other than the cost) is a range of undesirable side effects such as:a persistent dry cough, headache, pounding heartbeat, nausea, weight gain, reduced libido, depression, insomnia, shortness of breath, sinus congestion... the list could go on.

There are two major types of hypertension: Essential or primary hypertension and secondary hypertension. Primary hypertension is the most common condition, found in 95 per cent of the cases. It has no definite cause. There are several factors that may act in combination, causing the blood pressure to increase. Secondary hypertension is found in five to ten per cent the cases. Here, the increase in blood pressure is caused by a specific defect in one of the organs in the body. Treating the affected organ can control or cure the hypertension.

Treatment varies according to the stage of the disease. Hypertension is controllable with treatment, which may require periodic adjustment. The treatment is often associated with weight loss and increased exercise, but a doctor should be consulted even in cases of pre-hypertension. Hypertension is a very serious condition and should be taken seriously by both patient and doctor.

Being in a hypertension condition is not permanent; and it could not be severe enough to cause symptoms. Symptoms only surface when signs of end-organ damage are determined or are possible; otherwise, the condition is still considered accelerated hypertension. Malignant hypertension, on the other hand, is caused by increased intracranial pressure. These could be diagnosed through retinal examination.

Causes of Hypertension

- An increased tension in the blood vessel walls.

- An increased blood volume caused by elevated levels of salt and lipids in the blood holding back water.

- Hardened and inelastic blood vessels caused by arteriosclerosis.

Hypertension Symptoms:
Some of the common symptoms of hypertension are:
• Giddiness, Dizziness and a Feeling of Instability.
• Palpitations.
• Insomnia (inability to sleep well).
• Digestive problems and Constipation.

To get rid of hypertension you should know the categories of blood pressure readings. Hypertension is a medical condition when the blood pressure is elevated or the blood travel through your arteries at a higher pressure than normal. The normal blood pressure is 120/80 mm Hg or lower, when your blood pressure is 140/90 mm Hg or higher you have a hypertension.

Because of these problems a lot of people have been looking into how to reduce blood pressure naturally without the use of medications. Thankfully there are indeed ways to reduce high blood pressure naturally through diet and exercise.

Knowing what causes high blood pressure is important, as hypertension is a factor in heart attacks and heart disease. Given that heart disease accounted for 30% of deaths Worldwide in 2008 (source the World Health Organization) it is important that we know this information if we are not to be part of that statistic.

If you or one of your loved ones is suffering from this condition keep reading this article because here I will write about how to drop your blood pressure in a few weeks and improve your life quality. The most common causes for Hypertension are an unhealthy diet and lifestyle, combine this two and your chances to suffer from this condition increase a lot.

Food poisoning Symptoms

Food poisoning results when you eat food contaminated with bacteria or other pathogens such as parasites or viruses. Your symptoms may range from upset stomach to diarrhea, fever, vomiting, abdominal cramps and dehydration. Most such infections go undiagnosed and unreported.

Food poisoning is the result of eating food or drinking water contaminated with bacteria (usually the salmonella strain). Depending on the severity of the case, the symptoms may include diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, fever or dehydration. In most cases, food poisoning is not a life-threatening condition. It generally runs its course within 24 hours from when the first symptoms appear. Therefore, natural cures used to treat food poisoning are mainly designed to shorten the period of discomfort and minimize the symptoms.

symptoms includes:

* Nausea
* Diarrhea
* Gut pain
* Vomiting
* Dehydration

When people set foot in a restaurant, eatery, or fast-food establishment, they have a reasonable expectation that the food served to them will be clean, properly prepared, and free from any harmful viruses or bacteria. When contaminated food is served to a person, the results may range from slight illness and nausea to severe illness and injury. Regardless, food poisoning is a serious issue and should be avoided at all costs.

Food Poisoning Preventions:

# Make sure that you keep all of your hot foods hot and your cold food cold.
# Be sure that you don't eat any meat, dressings, or salads, or any other food for that matter that has been left out for more than two hours between the temperatures of 40 degrees F and 140degrees F. This is called the 20-40-140 rule.
# Make sure that the temperature in your refrigerator stays between 34 and 40 Degrees F. You can be assured of this by using a thermometer.
# Don't leave meat out on the counter to defrost, as it should be defrosted in either the refrigerator or in the microwave.

Food poisoning is certainly a potentially dangerous condition but for sure one of the most unpleasant experiences one can have. A person's body reacts to toxins produced by bacteria that contaminates food or water. The most common types of food poisoning result from the bacteria of salmonella, campylobacter, and staphylococcus.

Treatment
Symptoms of food poisoning typically arise several hours after the infected products have been ingested. Most cases will resolve themselves without outside treatment, but there are several tips that victims can follow to prevent matters from getting worse. It is very important for patients to stay hydrated as best as possible because they suffer severe fluid losses through vomiting and diarrhea. Avoidance of solid foods and lactose will also help keep the stomach and intestines calm.

In most cases, food poisoning is a one-off thing. Someone left the meat out of the fridge for too long. The food was contaminated during processing. One of the ingredients went bad, and was added to the dish unnoticed. There are many causes for food spoilage, but they are usually not consistent. In other words, don't expect that since you got food poisoning from the left-overs last week, that you will get sick every time you eat left-overs.

Bacteria and virus can be found not only on dairy and poultry products but on food products also. Its beginning symptoms are vomiting, diarrhea, pain in stomach and high fever. After knowing about the infection person becomes fit after immediate treatment. If the infection is not known immediately than kidney can be damaged or the person can die also.

Restaurant owners and employees should take precautions to protect their patrons and guests at all times. Food preparation and cooking surfaces should be kept clean at all times and kitchens should be free of contaminants and hazardous materials. Restaurant owners should make sure that all employees have undergone adequate food preparation courses and are aware of proper cooking procedures for each item on the menu.

Restaurant employees are the first line of defense against food-borne illness and should make sure that all items served have been properly handled from start to finish. If employees are negligent with food items or if they intentionally introduce harmful ingredients into the food, the restaurant may be held liable for injuries to the patrons.

Signs of food poisoning may range from mild to life threatening. Vomiting, fever, diarrhea, nausea, cramping are all signs of poisoning. Remember you many suffer from only a few of the symptoms or all of the symptoms. Generally symptoms come on withing 48 hours after eating or drinking the contaminated foods/drinks.

Most cases of food poisoning are caused by viruses which enter the digestive system through contaminated food or beverage and upset the patient's digestion. Viruses can be transmitted through water, fertilizer, interpersonal contact, and more. The warning signs of a food-based viral infection are often considered the "classic" food poisoning symptoms.

Stress Treatment

Stress is the emotional and physical strain caused by our response to environmental demands. In general, when environmental demands exceed your ability to cope, it creates stress. Stress generally refers to two different things: situations that trigger physical and emotional reactions (stressors) and the reactions themselves (stress response).

Stress is an unavoidable consequence of life and it is not something exclusive of the human beings, because the animals also have it. But the stress it is not necessarily bad. With the daily changes in life, stress has become a growing factor and part of the culture that we live in. By understanding what stress is, and defining the symptoms that are a part of it, you can begin to overcome the problem of stress and live a much more relaxed and fulfilling life.

Health is everywhere these days. You can't open a newspaper or turn on a television without seeing health in the news. Like it or not, health is all around us. Why is this? Well, for starters, it is important. Most notably, health is a hot topic because we have let it become an area of stress in our lives.

The Causes of Stress

-Strokes
-Diabetes in Later Life
-Premature Aging
-Irritable Bowel Syndrome
-Rheumatoid Arthritis
-Heart Burn / Ulcers
-Coronary Heart Disease

Stress symptoms can be broken down in a number of classifications, but for the purposes of this article, we will look at them from the viewpoint of physical, emotional, behavioral, and psychological symptoms. Keep in mind, of course, that sometimes it can be difficult to separate an emotional symptom from a psychological one and vice-versa, or a physical symptom from a psychological or emotional one, and one set of symptoms may create other problems and their own set of symptoms.

Stress symptoms can occur in both the physical body and psychologically. Physical stress symptoms include overwhelming fatigue, muscle tension, headaches, gastrointestinal distress like stomach aches, constipation or diarrhea and excessive weight loss or weight gain.

But for sheer effectiveness and rapidity of results, few things can match the power of self-hypnosis for stress management and stress treatment. The reason for this is because hypnosis is capable of producing a wonderful, calm state that is so far from stress that it has been called 'a state of grace'.

Holiday seasons are most awaited by members of our family including ourselves. We find that time to be precious to have fun with our near and dear ones and de-stress ourselves. Kids wait for these seasons with utmost anxiety. At these fun and frolicking times is it fair to forget your lovable dog behind? Especially when you have spent your time and energy searching for the best of many French bulldog puppies and have showered so much love and care to the pet? It is never a choice made by a responsible dog owner to leave behind his pet at home while he vacations with his whole family. French bulldog puppies get even sick sooner than any other breed dogs when left alone.

Stress Treatments.

1. Yoga helps to balance my body and calm my mind on a daily basis. I also do aerobics, strength training and balance exercises.
2. My supplemental program works to rebuild and support my weakest nutritional deficiencies.
3. I consume a higher protein, lower carbohydrate and (mostly) Gluten Free diet.
4. I use subliminal and meditation programs regularly.
5. I play affirmation CD's in my car whenever I am alone.

But there are other things that also affect thinning hair, factors such as diet, age and yes even stress. While it might not be obvious to the layman, there has been a connection between hair loss and stress seen by many experts.

Stress is a serious and very common problem of modern people and there are many different methods that are used to treat this condition. However, not all methods are always completely safe, or without any side effects. Because of that, it is wise to consider trying out some remedies that nature has given us, before we try some of the artificial medications and products that can sometimes cause more problems than they usually resolve.

The economy is obviously stressed and with investors and consumers both shy to spend money many large corporations have no choice but to reduce costs. Many employees in most industries know that a large part of any company's budget is manpower. Salaries and benefits add up to a lot of money. This is especially the case in North America where the standard of living has been second-to-none. As such, manpower reductions will likely continue.

But the stress levels in your body that is created in your office and at home combined with the factors of aging your unhealthy eating habits, late nights on the lap top and all that, could put you in a hospital bed for a few weeks every year unless you choose not to ignore the signs of stress and take a vacation just like the doctor prescribed. You sometimes need to take a break from the ‘you' that you are working hard to be and come to terms with the ‘you' that you presently and really are. Taking your mind off all the worries and yourself from the daily routine could bring you a lot of relief and possibility of spending the time enjoying nature or something new, far away from home could take your mind from home and office and all the stresses related.

Lyme Disease Prevention

Lyme disease is an infectious disease. A spirochete Borrelia burgdorferi, a kind of germ, is the cause. Deer ticks or western black-legged ticks bite people and transmit the bacterium to humans. These ticks are about the size of sesame seeds. Lyme disease mostly happens in rural and suburban regions. Lyme disease is found in United States, Europe, Asia and Australia.

Lyme disease is caused by a bacterial infection by the bite of a deer tick. In the northeastern U.S., deer ticks also called black-legged ticks are the primary carrier of Lyme disease but there are other specimens of ticks that carry the disease in other parts of the US especially in the western regions.

Lyme disease symptoms:

Physicians are likely to misidentify premature Lyme disease on behalf of flu, and later on, they experience a few non-specific symptoms together with a variety of difficulties with different body organs. This is just a partial listing of Lyme disease symptoms, because there are additional than three hundred signs in the medical glossary implying Lyme disease infection. The previously mentioned report is not a diagnostic tool, but the intention is to submit a base for you to have a dialogue with your personal physician about the immeasurable Lyme disease.

Lyme disease also called Lyme borreliosis, is an infection that derives from a tick bite. It is caused by a kind of bacteria (germ) called a spirochete. This bacterium is usually found in animals such as mice and deer. Lyme disease is diagnosed based on symptoms, physical findings (e.g., rash), and the possibility of exposure to infected ticks; laboratory testing is helpful in the later stages of disease. Most cases occur in the Northeast, upper Midwest, and along the Pacific coast. Mice and deer are the most commonly infected animals that serve as host to the tick. Most infections occur in the late spring, summer, and early fall.

Causes of Lyme disease

The common causes and risk factor's of Lyme disease include the following:

Lyme disease is caused by an infection from a micro-organism (Borrelia burghdor feri), itself transmitted by a bite from the wood tick, a blood-sucking parasite which normally lives on deer.

Risk factors for Lyme disease include walking in high grasses, other activities that increase tick exposure, and having a pet that may carry ticks home.

Lyme Remedy

In order to discover why lyme cases are growing exponentially, researchers looked how the average American diet has changed in the last few decades. They found that the average diet contains less sodium, less fiber, more preservatives and more calories, fat, processed foods and cholesterol.

After years of studying all of these factors, they noticed a connection between sodium intake and Lyme disease. Did you know that Americans eat less salt today than ever before in history? Many theorists are demonstrating that a whole host of new illness could be a result of our lowered consumption of salt.

Lyme Disease Prevention: There are quite a few things you can do to help prevent Lyme Disease. Avoiding tick infested areas is the best protection. Wooded, grassy areas are more likely to harbor ticks. Wear good protective clothing when entering tick areas. Wearing light colored clothes makes spotting the ticks easier. Walking in the center of trails when hiking to avoid overgrown grass and weeds the ticks may be hiding in.

Lyme Disease Treatment Tips:
1. Get Fruity! Did you know that most Americans are not getting enough Vitamin C and fiber? Go to your local grocery store and load up on frest fruits to help that immune system fight lyme.

2. Daily Multi-Vitamins. Are you part of the millions who do not take multi-vitamins? If you are, you will have a weaker immune system and suffer from less energy throughout the day. Lyme disease loves a weak immunity.

3. At least 12 glasses a day! Your body is almost three-quarters water! You need at least twelve full glasses of water a day while fighting lyme. Hint: Your urine should always be clear.

Antibiotics, is available for treating the Lyme disease, which is also the primary treatment for Lyme disease. It is effective and almost all patients recover after antibiotic treatment. Nevertheless, curing may take weeks to months after finishing antibiotic treatment.

Bacteria called spirochetes are responsible for the symptoms of Lyme disease. Spirochetes are pleomorphic; they can appear as two or more completely different organisms.

Chronic Lyme disease takes lives even when there is a breathing shell left in place of the vibrantly active "pre-Lyme" person. If life is defined by the heart beating perhaps there are many more with Lyme who suffer silently. But I contend that those of us with bad cases of chronic Lyme are the "un-dead" - the "Lyme ghosts" living in agonizing pain - far, far beyond the aches and pains of daily living - unable to contribute to our families, friends, communities...in the meaningful way we once did.

Hepatitis Symptoms

Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver. When the hepatitis occurs abruptly with severe symptoms it is referred to as acute hepatitis. There are numerous causes of hepatitis. Probably the most well known but not the most common cause is alcohol abuse. However, there are also many drugs that have a toxic effect on the liver and cause inflammation particularly when used in large quantities. One of these is an over the counter pain killer known as acetaminophen. Taken in high doses it can seriously injure the liver. Prescription drugs that cause problems are methyldopa, isoniazid, valproate, and amiodarone.

Acute hepatitis is definitely an inflammatory procedure leading to liver cell death either by necrosis or by triggering apoptosis (programmed cell death). A broad variety of clinical entities can trigger global hepatocyte injury of sudden onset. Worldwide, acute hepatitis is most commonly caused by infection with one of several kinds of viruses.

Hepatitis, in its primary stages, may produces flu-like symptoms, including:

* Malaise
* Mild fever
* Muscle or joint pains
* Appetite loss
* Nausea
* Vomiting

Many cases of persistent hepatitis are thought to represent an immune-mediated attack about the liver occurring consequently of persistence of certain hepatitis viruses or after prolonged exposure to particular medicines or noxious substances. In some, no mechanism may be recognized.

Hepatitis C is usually spread by contact to human blood that has been contaminated with the hepatitis C virus. There is an astonishing number of people that are infected with the hepatitis C virus because of injection of drugs. People who have transfusions of blood are also at risk of infection with the hepatitis C virus.

Although there is no current or specific remedy for Hepatitis A, in the majority of cases, it will resolve itself. The best course of treatment for Hepatitis is rest, combined with a high protein diet, which helps to repair the damaged liver cells and protect the liver.

Hepatitis is an inflammatory condition of the liver. Hepa is Latin for "liver" and the English suffix "itis" means inflammation. Hepatitis is characterized by other pathologies such as jaundice, abdominal and gastric discomfort, hepatomegaly, and dark urine (which is a sign of severe acidosis).

Hepatitis C treatments commonly involve the administration of interferon, a medication that was initially designed to treat patients diagnosed with leukemia. Interferon is actually a natural body protein produced when viral infectious agents intrude inside the human body.

There are tests that can show can show the seroprevelance of the hepatitis B virus in a pregnant women. The infection with hepatitis can be either acute or chronic. The acute infection with the hepatitis B virus means that this infection happened only during pregnancy and the person was otherwise healthy, whereas the chronic infection shows that the infection with the hepatitis B virus was previous to the pregnancy.

Although the body produces interferon in small quantities, this protein is very effective in fighting against viral infections. However, the benefic effects of interferon can nowadays be enhanced by modifying the protein in the laboratory. The majority of patients with mild, uncomplicated forms of hepatitis C generally respond well to treatments with interferon, completely recovering from disease after completing longer courses with this type of medication. At the opposite pole, patients with chronic or more advanced forms of hepatitis C are often confronted with relapse soon after they stop receiving such treatments.

Hepatitis is a very common disease that can cause a lot of damage to your liver. In cases of viral hepatitis, there are some ways of prevention, but this generally speaking.

Treatment:

1. Fresh water algae
2. Whole grain products
3. Green vegetable juices
4. Legumes

Symptoms Of Gastritis

Gastritis is not a disease on its own but a symptom of abnormal digestion. It is characterized by inflammation or irritation of the lining of the stomach. It affects millions of people worldwide. It can be divided into 3 categories: (1) erosive and hemorrhagic gastritis (2) non erosive and nonspecific gastritis (3) specific gastritis indicative of a disorder.

Many people experience gastritis due to the foods and substances they ingest that irritate their stomach and digestive tracts. The only way to reverse this is to stop eating these foods and substances. Generally, things like tobacco, alcohol, acidic beverages, and pain relievers like ibuprofen or aspirin, can cause gastritis in people. Eliminating these substances from the body is really important for those who want to eliminate the gastritis.

It is important to supplement with foods high in fiber and eat foods that have lots of flavanoids. These foods include cranberries, onions, celery, apples, garlic, and tea. The flavonoids can fight the H. pylori bacteria that can cause gastritis.

The classic symptoms of gastritis and severe stomach problems are acidity, usually the subject feels a "feeling of bloated stomach, slow digestion and belching, sour, bitter taste in the mouth, stomach cramps, followed by vomiting and nausea with dizziness and sweating.

The symptoms of gastritis can be very misleading. Sometimes a very minor inflammation can cause severe symptoms and at the same time severe inflammation may cause minor symptoms. The severity of the condition can only be judged after an endoscopic examination of the stomach has been performed by the doctor. An endoscope is a like an optical fiber with a minuscule camera at its end, which is introduced into the patient's stomach to view the conditions inside.

Acute gastritis is often associated with excessive alcohol intake and NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). NSAIDs like aspirin, ibuprofen, and mefenamic acid hinder the production of the stomach's lining leading to peptic ulcers. Chronic gastritis, on the other hand, can be caused by Helicobacter pylori, a bacterium that inhabits the stomach and the first section of the small intestine. Chronic gastritis can also bring heartburn, a painful condition where the acid reaches the esophagus, resulting in chest pains.

Diagnosis of Gastritis

To diagnose gastritis, the physician takes a medical history and performs a physical examination. The patient's medical history includes information about previous health issues, lifestyle factors (e.g., tobacco and alcohol use), over-the-counter and medications (including herbal supplements and vitamins) and current symptoms.A physical examination is performed to assess general health and locate areas of discomfort, such as abdominal tenderness.

Blood test (to measure red blood cells and possibly detect anemia - a condition where there are not enough red blood cells present, which can cause gastritis).

Taking aspirin, ibuprofen and naproxen -- that's Motrin, Advil, Aleve, and others -- on a regular basis can lead to gastritis. These drugs, while helpful for pain relief symptoms, have the unfortunate side effects of tearing down the stomach lining slightly. A couple tablets now and then won't produce any long-lasting harm, but taking them regularly can easily cause stomach ulcers as well as gastritis.

Gastritis: Treatment

The common treatment of gastritis is with antacids, but these can create as many problems as they are meant to resolve. The homeopathic medicine Phosphorus may be the best natural treatment of gastritis you have heard about, as long as your symptoms match.

DUAL THERAPY. Dual therapy involves the use of an antibiotic and a proton pump inhibitor. Proton pump inhibitors help reduce stomach acid by halting the mechanism that pumps acid into the stomach. This also helps promote healing of ulcers or inflammation. Dual therapy has not been proven to be as effective as triple therapy, but may be ordered for some patients who can more comfortably handle the use of less drugs and will therefore more likely follow the two-week course of therapy.

Homeopathy works by stimulating your immune system to work better for you. This is why you never need a convalescent period with homeopathic treatment. It automatically starts by bringing your energy up. Your treatment IS your convalescence. Homeopathy works by individualising your unique and personal symptoms. Your gastritis will have its own stamp.

Gastritis is more common with age and most sufferers complain of indigestion. Other people have no noticeable symptoms, which can be dangerous if gastritis is caused by erosion of the stomach lining with bleeding-normally a result of aspirin or other medication. Usually, people with acute gastritis caused by illness or injury have already been hospitalized for treatment of their underlying condition; therefore, symptoms of gastritis are managed in the course of their intensive care.

Frequently individuals will be prescribed medications to help their symptoms. Prilosec is prescribed many times to help individuals with the level of acid in their bodies and then antibiotics are prescribed to deal with the H. pylori bacteria. Antacids may be used to help with indigestion and heartburn, H2 blockers and the like.

Consult your doctor if you are taking medicines like ibuprofen and aspirin. Take care of your diet and help relieve the pain and suffering caused by this condition. A proper gastritis diet combined with stress management should give you good results.

Home Remedies for Eczema

Eczema is a type of chronic skin condition in which areas of your skin can become inflamed, itchy, and sore. While doctors have yet to unlock the deep secrets regarding the reasons behind eczema, they have plenty of good information that can help calm eczema flare-ups and prevent future ones.

Eczema is a common condition for which there are good natural remedies available. In fact, approximately one in 18 people (about 15 million or 5.5% of the population) have eczema in the US at any given period of time. It is a good idea to take charge of your health and to know as much as you can about this condition in order to know the natural eczema remedies that will work the best for you.

During the holidays, many people travel and can come into substances that are not tolerated by one's system leading to an allergic response such as eczema. If you have allergies in your family or a history of eczema, it's important to be vigilant to avoid skin reactions due to intolerance. When you are travelling you can be in contact with many unfamiliar settings.

For instance, you may be staying in someone's home. Some children as well as adults can get eczema types of eruptions from pet dander. Sensitive people may also react to linen washed in certain detergents. If you didn't pack your own toiletries you may be using different soaps, shampoos, conditioners and other personal care items that don't agree with your system. Allergic responses can be respiratory types of symptoms as well as skin bumps and patches.

The eczema creams on the market today can be used for both skin hydration and to reduce inflammation and most eczema creams will give relief from irritation and discomfort almost immediately. They are usually manufactured according to the highest pharmaceutical standards.

Home Remedies for Eczema

- Applying the juice of the wild almond (Terminalia catapa) on the affected parts provides relief.

- An emulsion can be made with the seeds of the karanja (Pongamia pinnata) and lemon juice. This is very beneficial if applied externally.

- An ointment is prepared using one part of sesame oil, sixteen parts of arka (Calatropics gigantica) and one part of turmeric. This should be applied externally.

- Prepare a brew of the peel of the banyan tree. Both drinking this brew and applying it externally over the affected parts show promising results.

Eczema is a general skin condition that is thought to be rooted in immune response. This general classification includes the many "triggers" that can bring on outbreaks of eczema. These triggers can be any element or environmental condition that a person may have allergic responses to. This can include allergic reactions to synthetic compounds, such as those found in cleaning products or other man-made solutions. It can also encompass airborne allergens, such as mold, pollen, or animal dander. Those whose skin is overly-sensitive to coarse fabrics such as wool often develop eczema. Even physical reactions to changes in air temperature can result in an outbreak of eczema. People who sweat excessively in warm weather or whose skin tends to dry out severely in colder temperatures can develop eczema, and especially eczema on hands.

Then some of the less common eczema types as follow:

Neurodermatitis: This is a continuous inflammation of the skin perpetuated by a vicious circle of itching and scratching. The distinguishing characteristic is the thick and leathery skin that develops after a long time. It is also known as lichen simplex chronicus.

Varicous Eczema: Poor blood circulation in the lower leg causes fluid to leak out of the veins and collect around the ankles causing edema and nutrient shortcomings in the skin which apparently leads to eczema in this area. The symptoms are the darkening of the skin, itch, redness, swelling, and in bad cases ulceration of the skin. This type of eczema is also called stasis eczema and gravitational eczema.

It is not true that everyone that has eczema has the same level of the disease because the severity of eczema can range quite a lot. Some people have a very mild form of eczema and one major symptom of mild eczema is dry itchy skin while severe cases of eczema can experience broken bleeding skin. Many people are bothered by looking at the eczema that some men and women have but do not be alarmed.

If you are looking for a cheap option to help your eczema then olive oil can be something you can try. It has now been widely accepted that olive oil is a very useful treatment with a large number of different benefits. Some of the uses of olive oil include eliminating itching, inflammation and also reducing the redness of the skin. If you have tried other things that have not worked then this is definitely worth a try.

Eczema does not have any single cure. Eczema cures are unique for every person. Different people use different treatments to treat eczema. These treatments include medicines and natural remedies. Eczema can not be completely cured but symptoms and severity can be reduced by using right treatment for you. Decision is up to you. You must recognize and select right treatment for you according to your skin type and other condition. Eczema can only reduce with use of proper medicines and simple modification in life style.

Treatment for Eczema
Immunosuppressant is a treatment for Eczema. Doctors use immunosuppressants when an individual with Eczema does not respond well to other forms or methods of treatments. Immunosuppressants are used to weaken the immune system, which sometimes cause dramatic improvements in the condition of the individuals Eczema. Individuals who undergo immunosuppressants are required to have frequent blood screenings and be checked by their doctor on a regular basis.

Cold Sores Treatment

Cold sores are one of our most contagious viruses - and one of our oldest. Even in ancient Rome, an epidemic of cold sores caused Emperor Tiberius to outlaw kissing in public ceremonies.

COLD SORES, common name for Herpes labialis (also known as "Orolabial herpes") is an infection of the lip by herpes simplex virus. In many cases, it causes small blisters or sores on or around the mouth that are commonly known as cold sores or fever blisters. When the viral infection affects both face and mouth, the broader term "orofacial herpes" is used to describe the condition, whereas the term "herpetic stomatitis" is used to specifically describe infection of the mouth. Sores associated with herpes labialis typically heal within 2-3 weeks, & there are several cold sore remedies which can be tried at home but the virus that causes them is not removed from the body. The herpes virus infects and becomes dormant in the facial nerves, following orofacial infection, periodically reactivating (in symptomatic people) to create sores in the same area of the mouth or face that the original infection occurred.

So, I will not waste your time by going through the multiple medications approved by the FDA simply because none qualify as a cure and most do little better than the most commonly used home remedies. The key lies in early detection. The quicker you recognize the symptoms leading up to a breakout the sooner you can put a halt to a full blown unsightly crusty critter cold sore.

When you hear health experts state there is no cold sore cure, they can be talking about only one thing. Right now we have no know way to remove the cold sore virus permanently from the body. It is the herpes simplex virus that causes cold sores. Once infected with the cold sore causing herpes simplex virus, you own the virus for life.

With this cold sore treatment, if I could catch the cold sores at the first tingle and apply the ice, it delayed - and sometimes prevented - the cold sores from actually moving into the blister stage. If a blister does form, this cold sore treatment still works great for providing blessed comfort. Because it does slow down metabolism, it also will slow down the healing of your cold sores. Best not to use it as much during the healing phase of your cold sores as a cold sore treatment.

Cold sores are small and somewhat painful blisters that usually appear on or around a person's lips and are caused by the herpes simplex virus-1 (or HSV-1). The sores - also known as "fever blisters" - are quite different from canker sores, a condition people sometimes associate them with. They are very contagious and stay that way until the blisters scab over, and sometimes even afterwards. Fever Blisters can appear one at a time or in little grape like bunches, and are sometimes filled with fluid. They normally leave on their own within 7 to 10 days after their first appearance.

When emotional or physical stress causes the virus to wake up and become active, they travel to the surface through the nerves. At the surface they enter the cells, force the cells to create copies of themselves, and then destroy the cells to release the newly created viruses. This replication process "explodes" many thousands of cells in a close area that merge and causes your unsightly monster cold sores.

Symptoms

Cold sore symptoms are caused by the replication process of the herpes simplex virus. 89% of people worldwide have this virus in their body, so it is quite universal. 67% of those folks will experience cold sore symptoms at least once - most often 2 or more times - in the next 12 months.

Anyone who has experienced having a cold sore knows how unpleasant it can be. The worst thing about cold sores is that they seem to pop up at the most inappropriate of time like when you have a big date, a major presentation or before you go on a long vacation. This is why an effective and lasting cold sore cure is greatly in demand.

Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus I (HSV-1), which infect an estimated 70-80 percent of the population. The virus is highly contagious, which means that you should be both careful about becoming infected by someone with a cold sore as well as passing on cold sores to other people.

Cold sores are usually spread by kissing or making direct contact with a person who has a cold sore. In fact, if you have a cold sore you probably got it from someone you know, but preventing cold sores is not that difficult and there are ways you can help to protect others as well as yourself. Start by washing your hands thoroughly, as explained before cold sores are caused by a contagious virus, so washing your hands can help prevent the spread of that virus. Try to avoid kissing anyone with a cold sore. Of course, you cannot always prevent a cold sore, so learning the right home remedies for cold sores can help you eliminate it quickly without the embarrassment.

Ear Infection Remedies

Ear infections. We have all suffered because of this, mostly when we were young and even as adults, though it is not as common among adults as in children. Some actually heal on their own, some need medication to avoid future complications that might result in severe issues like hearing loss. There are mainly three types of ear infection, namely, outer ear infections (otitis externa), middle ear infections (otitis media) and inner ear infections (otitis interna). Among these, the middle ear infection is the commonest of all. People suffering from allergies are more prone to this.

Though adults are not affected as frequently as children, it is important for adults to be aware of how adult ear infection can affect them. Adult ear infection is caused by infection in the Eustachian tube, near the inner ear. The Eustachian tube connects the inner ear to the nasal passages in order to drain fluid from the ears and equalize pressure between outside and inside of the body, but when fluid or mucous builds up in the Eustachian tube, it is an easy target for infection.

Here are some of my favorite middle ear infection remedies :

Essential oils
Warm a teaspoon of vegetable oil like olive oil, and add to it 3 drops of tea tree and 2 drops of lavender. Soak a piece of cotton wool in this and use to plug the ear. You can also use a massage oil around the ears, neck and cheeks. An effective massage oil combination is 1 drop of thyme, 3 drops of tea tree and 2 drops lavender.

Garlic
Garlic is great for ear infections. Some of my elderly patients swear by peeling a clove of garlic, wrapping it in gauze and placing it in the affected ear overnight. You can put some olive oil in the ear first to prevent any skin irritation. You can also drip some warmed garlic oil or liquid garlic extract in the ear every 2-3 hours. These middle ear infection remedies should not be used if the ear drum is perforated.

Improve your diet
An imbalanced diet with too much refined food causes an accumulation of toxins and a breeding ground for bacteria. It is important to base the diet around fresh fruit and vegetables, quality proteins, natural oils and small amounts of whole grains.

Some Symptoms of Ear Infection:

Nausea, vomiting.

Have trouble sleeping.

Develop a fever.

Fail to respond to sounds.

The cause is a germ infecting the outer ear canal. Most often this is caused by bacteria (which can be treated with antibiotics), but sometimes other causes, such as fungus infection, are to blame.

Ear infection is a common ailment suffered by many babies and children. Today's parents know more than enough about how to cure ear infection. One of the bad things about ear infections is that they most often occur at night, with no help around. In this article, I will tell you how to cure ear infection as well as prevent it from occurring in future.

Treatment:

- Sour foods must be avoided as they vitiate the kapha. These include curds and fruits that are sour in taste.

- Bananas, watermelons, oranges, papayas and cucumbers must be avoided. These foods can increase the chances of having common cold. This would aggravate the ear problem. For the same reason, all refrigerated foods must also be avoided.

- Valuable foods during ear problems are onion, ginger and garlic. Turmeric is also very good, and must be used for spicing the meals.

Cholesterol Treatment

Cholesterol is considered a type of fat, a sterol to be precise. Its production starts with sugar molecules. Please read the preceding sentence a thousand times again and again. Yes, cholesterol production begins when the cells of the body see sugar molecules. These sugar molecules can be glucose (found in starches, processed and un processed foods and all vegetables), fructose (found in fruit and berries) and galactose (found in lactose which is comprised of glucose and galactose). These sugar molecules will be modified within the cells of the body with the end result being the production of cholesterol.

The announcements generated a wave of attention for pterostilbene, not only in the United States but in other countries as well. At least two news organizations in Great Britain directly attributed a boom in British blueberry sales to Rimando’s findings. And the Oxford lab’s results have since been cited by companies marketing products ranging from blueberry extract to juice concentrate to commercially available pterostilbene itself.

Dietary cholesterol is absorbed from many different foods. Fruits and vegetables, and other plant foods, do not add a significant amount of cholesterol to the human diet. However, to say that humans get absolutely no cholesterol from plant sources may be a dangerous statement. Modern nutritional thought indicates that, while the amount of cholesterol absorbed from plant sources may be minimal, cholesterol levels are cumulative and therefore the amount of cholesterol from plant sources may need to be considered.

Treatment of High Cholesterol:

The three main classes include statins, fibrates, and bile acid sequestrants.

Statins include the following medications:

Lipitor (atorvastatin)

Zocor (simvastatin)

Pravachol (pravastatin).

Mevacor (lovastatin)

Crestor (rosuvastatin)

Many natural remedies for high cholesterol contain only one or two useful ingredients but it is essential to have the right synergistic blend of many different ones to provide you with the maximum results. You will also get the added bonus of many other health benefits too such as an improved immune system, protection against many forms of cancers and better circulation.

About one-third to one-fourth of blood cholesterol is carried by high-density lipoprotein (HDL). Medical experts think HDL tends to carry cholesterol away from the arteries and back to the liver, where it's passed from the body. Some experts believe HDL removes excess cholesterol from plaques and thus slows their growth. HDL is called "good" cholesterol because it helps prevent cholesterol from building up in your arteries. It is mostly protein with only a small amount of fat.

As well as maintaining a healthy cholesterol balance it helps to improve stamina, strength and reaction times while also being beneficial for inflammatory conditions.Phytosterols from plants are good as they have a similar structure to cholesterol and help to reduce the absorption and D-Limonene from orange peel and Pumpkin seed oil are also beneficial.

Types of Cholesterol

Cholesterol is not soluble in water and doesn't mix easily with blood. In order to be able to travel in the bloodstream, the cholesterol made in the liver is combined with protein and other substances. This cholesterol-protein package is called a lipoprotein. Lipoprotein then carries the cholesterol through the bloodstream.

Lipoproteins can be high density (HDL), low density (LDL) or very low density (VLDL), depending on how much protein there is in relation to fat.

The patients had their blood levels checked before the start of the dietary changes and at the end of just two weeks. The researchers found that the patients in the group with the almonds, high fibre and soy substitutes had managed to reduce their bad LDL cholesterol by more than 30 per cent. Whereas the group that were on just the low fat diet saw very little change in their test results.

Remedies

1. Fiber. Eating a diet high in fiber has been proven by scientific research to lower your bad cholesterol. Eating foods such as whole grain cereals, oatmeal, fruits, vegetables and other healthy foods will help you improve your health and cholesterol levels significantly.

2. Garlic. Taking a simple capsule of garlic or even eating garlic on a daily basis has been shown in clinical trials that it may lower bad cholesterol levels, prevent blood clots and even eliminate plaque. It has even been proven to lower high blood pressure in people having, you guessed it, high blood pressure!

3. Natural substances. One of the best natural cholesterol remedies that I have found is a simple natural supplement that addresses the 6 key factors. Many products on the market today may only address 2-3 factors and discard the rest. These are not as effective as the cutting-edge products you can find by doing your research.
